Use the target from the Emergency Water Calculator, including any personal allowance you need to add. The tools do not transfer or save that answer for you.

How the plan works

Version 1.0.0 adds container size times quantity for every recorded item. Gap is the target minus recorded litres, floored at zero. The chosen mix is added separately. One-size comparisons round the current gap up to a whole container.

One litre of water has an approximate mass of one kilogram. The displayed weight excludes the container. Dimensions, shelf capacity, lifting ability and portability vary, so check your own space and containers. No option is a universal best choice.

The review date is one you choose. There is no universal expiry date for all stored water. Follow the pack or container maker's instructions and current official advice. Keep drinking water in suitable containers and away from heat, direct sunlight and chemicals.
